West to centre in under an hour
Guadalajara and the Mexico City metro area sustain constant corporate traffic: technology, manufacturing, agribusiness and the tequila sector drive meetings that rarely fit an airline schedule.
At 55 minutes of flying, the charter proposition isn't speed but control of the day. Wheels-up at 07:30, in Santa Fe by 09:15, and back when the agenda ends — not when the next flight leaves — is what sustains demand on this corridor.
Turboprop or jet: the real math
On a leg under an hour, the cruise speed difference between a Piper M500 and a Learjet works out to fifteen or twenty minutes. The rate difference works out to thousands of dollars.
The turboprop loses when the group passes five, when luggage is bulky, or when the day's agenda can't absorb even fifteen minutes. Outside those cases, closing this route on a turboprop is simply the efficient decision.
Why you land in Toluca
AICM runs at capacity and keeps slot restrictions with commercial priority that, in practice, shut out on-demand private charter. All business aviation for the Mexico City metro area is organized out of Toluca (MMTO).
From the FBO it's 35 to 45 minutes to Santa Fe, 40 to 50 to Interlomas and about an hour to Polanco. MMTO operates 24 hours with customs and immigration, so neither the schedule nor an onward international destination is a constraint.
