    Routes

Routes from and to Los Cabos

Cabo: the destination where lead time beats budget

Los Cabos concentrates demand into sharp windows: the winter season from December through April, Easter week, the October and November fishing tournaments, and U.S. long weekends. In those windows the constraint isn't price — it's the physical availability of aircraft.

The pattern repeats every year: book three or four weeks out and you choose the aircraft; book on the date and you take what's left. For Christmas, New Year and Semana Santa the useful horizon stretches to two months.

MMSD, Cabo San Lucas (MMSL) and La Paz (MMLP)

San José del Cabo (MMSD) is the main field and the only one with full FBO, customs and immigration infrastructure. From there it's 20 minutes to the tourist corridor and about 40 to Cabo San Lucas.

Cabo San Lucas (MMSL) sits considerably closer to the marina and the southern developments, but it's a general aviation field with a shorter runway: not every category operates there and international flights can't clear customs. La Paz (MMLP) serves the northern peninsula and Sea of Cortez fishing and yachting itineraries. We'll tell you which field takes your aircraft.

Flights to California and the U.S. Southwest

Los Cabos has a very strong traffic relationship with Southern California, Las Vegas and Phoenix. These are two to two-and-a-half hour legs a midsize jet covers nonstop with comfortable margin.

Flights depart MMSD with Mexican customs clearance and enter the U.S. through a CBP airport — Van Nuys, San Diego, Las Vegas or Scottsdale depending on destination. It's also one of the corridors that generates the most northbound empty legs at the close of every long weekend.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

Can a private jet land at Cabo San Lucas (MMSL)?
Yes, with limits. MMSL is a general aviation field with a shorter runway than MMSD and no customs clearance, so not every aircraft category operates there and it doesn't work for international flights. We check compatibility before quoting.
How much does a private jet from Los Cabos cost?
Los Cabos–Mexico City starts around USD 12,750 one way in a light jet; Los Cabos–Los Angeles around USD 18,500 in a midsize. Estimates subject to date and availability.
How far ahead should I book for December or Easter week?
For those dates we recommend confirming at least four to eight weeks out. That's the period where the aircraft, not the budget, is the real constraint.
Are there empty legs out of Los Cabos?
Yes, mostly toward the Mexico City metro area, Monterrey and the southern U.S. at the end of long weekends. With flexible dates the discounts are substantial.
