    Why Private

    What makes this route different.

    01
    Straight north

No stop in Mexico City or Guadalajara. An hour forty point to point.

    02
    Sunday afternoon reserved

It's the corridor's most contested window. Booked from the start, it doesn't depend on last-minute availability.

    03
    Frequent empty legs

The Baja–north corridor repositions regularly. With flexibility, substantial discounts.

    04
    Arrival at the executive terminal

MMMY with full handling and vehicle ramp access on authorization.

    Cost

What determines the cost of a Los Cabos → Monterrey charter?

It's a short leg where price sits near the aircraft's utilization floor. What moves it most is the date: the Sunday afternoon window in high season and a Tuesday in September are not the same quote.

    01
    Aircraft category

The single biggest driver. The right categories for this leg are light and midsize jets: the gap between them isn't only cabin size but speed, baggage volume and range. A light and a midsize jet on the same route can differ by 60% in price.

    02
    Distance and block time

The leg runs ≈ 1,020 km with a typical 1h 40m in the air. Charter is priced on occupied flight hours, and daily utilization minimums plus crew duty limits still apply even on a short hop.

    03
    One way vs round trip

A round trip that keeps the aircraft with you usually prices better per hour than two one-ways. A one-way Los Cabos → Monterrey may mean the aircraft flies home empty, and that leg shows up in the rate.

    04
    Positioning (ferry)

The movement of the aircraft before pickup or after drop-off. If the right aircraft isn't based in Los Cabos, or is committed elsewhere after landing in Monterrey, that repositioning enters the cost. It's exactly why empty legs exist: someone already paid for that leg.

    05
    Season and demand

Availability rules price. Through October through May, fishing tournaments and Easter week the fleet commits weeks ahead and the rate stops being negotiable. Firm dates booked early widen your aircraft options.

    06
    Handling, FBO and fees

Landing, ramp, FBO handling, catering and crew overnight where applicable. Small next to the flight hour, but they vary by airport and are always itemized in the quote — nothing appears afterward.

    The Baja weekend return

Monterrey is one of the markets that travels most to Los Cabos, and the pattern is nearly always the same: Friday afternoon out, Sunday between 15:00 and 19:00 back. That window carries so much demand it's the first to sell out in season.

Booking the return at the same time as the outbound isn't just convenience: it's what guarantees the aircraft you chose is still available. Closer in, during high season, options narrow sharply.

    Baja–north corridor empty legs

Monterrey-based aircraft that carry groups to Cabo have to return, and not always with passengers. That return regularly generates empty legs in this direction.

If your dates have a day or two of slack, we message you on WhatsApp when a matching leg appears. Discounts against the regular rate in those cases are substantial and can't be reached by negotiating a scheduled flight.

    Sports gear and baggage capacity

The return from Cabo almost always carries more volume than the outbound: golf bags, fishing coolers, shopping. It's the most common reason a return flight needs a larger aircraft than the outbound.

We review it at quote stage. Four full golf bags plus weekend suitcases already push the conversation toward the Hawker 800A. Better to know before booking than to find out on the ramp with the aircraft ready.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from Los Cabos to Monterrey cost?
One way in a light jet starts around USD 9,750 + VAT; in a Hawker 800A, around USD 17,500 + VAT. Estimates subject to date and availability.
How long is the Los Cabos–Monterrey flight?
1 hour 40 minutes nonstop, with no stop in central Mexico.
    What's the best return time?
If your schedule allows, Monday first thing gets a better rate and a better aircraft than the Sunday 15:00–19:00 window, which is the most congested.
Are there empty legs in this direction?
Yes, regularly. Monterrey-based aircraft carrying groups to Cabo have to return and not always with passengers. With flexible dates the discounts are substantial.
Will the golf and fishing gear fit on the way back?
It depends on the aircraft. Four full bags plus suitcases usually require a Hawker 800A. We confirm it in the quote.
