    Why Private

    What makes this route different.

    01
    Direct, no Mexico City connection

Commercial itineraries usually connect. Private is 2 hours 10 minutes point to point.

    02
    Departure from the private ramp

No queues or belts in Cancún. Arrive 20 minutes before wheels-up.

    03
    Arrival at the executive terminal

MMMY with full handling and vehicle ramp access on authorization.

    04
    Weekend return locked in

Sunday afternoon is the corridor's tightest window. Booked from the start, it doesn't depend on last-minute availability.

    Cost

What determines the cost of a Cancún → Monterrey charter?

Price in this direction depends heavily on where the aircraft is based. Cancún sees constant traffic but few based aircraft, so when the assigned aircraft comes from the north, the repositioning is already paid for and the rate improves.

    01
    Aircraft category

The single biggest driver. The right categories for this leg are light and midsize jets: the gap between them isn't only cabin size but speed, baggage volume and range. A light and a midsize jet on the same route can differ by 60% in price.

    02
    Distance and block time

The leg runs ≈ 1,450 km with a typical 2h 10m in the air. Charter is priced on occupied flight hours, and daily utilization minimums plus crew duty limits still apply even on a short hop.

    03
    One way vs round trip

A round trip that keeps the aircraft with you usually prices better per hour than two one-ways. A one-way Cancún → Monterrey may mean the aircraft flies home empty, and that leg shows up in the rate.

    04
    Positioning (ferry)

The movement of the aircraft before pickup or after drop-off. If the right aircraft isn't based in Cancún, or is committed elsewhere after landing in Monterrey, that repositioning enters the cost. It's exactly why empty legs exist: someone already paid for that leg.

    05
    Season and demand

Availability rules price. Through December through Easter week and the family summer the fleet commits weeks ahead and the rate stops being negotiable. Firm dates booked early widen your aircraft options.

    06
    Handling, FBO and fees

Landing, ramp, FBO handling, catering and crew overnight where applicable. Small next to the flight hour, but they vary by airport and are always itemized in the quote — nothing appears afterward.

    The return commercial makes hard

Monterrey and Cancún have commercial service, but nonstop supply is thin and Sunday afternoon returns fill weeks ahead. Many end up connecting in Mexico City, adding three or four hours to a two-hour flight.

Private, the leg is direct and you set the time. For a family closing out Sunday on the beach, that means dinner at home instead of arriving at midnight.

Leaving Cancún: private ramp and alternates

Departure is from MMUN's private ramp and FBO, separate from the commercial terminals. Boarding takes minutes and your car can reach the ramp with prior authorization.

If your stay ended in Tulum or toward Bacalar, departing from MMTL saves about 70 minutes of driving and often costs the same. From Cozumel, MMCZ skips the ferry. We review all three options when quoting.

High season and the Sunday window

From December through Easter week, and in the family summer, demand on this corridor concentrates into two narrow windows: Friday afternoon out of the north and Sunday afternoon back from Cancún.

In those windows availability goes first and prices respond to demand. Moving the return to Monday morning, when the schedule allows, substantially improves both the rate and the quality of aircraft available.

    FAQ

    Frequently asked questions

How much does a private jet from Cancún to Monterrey cost?
One way in a light jet starts around USD 11,500 + VAT; in a Hawker 800A, around USD 20,500 + VAT. Estimates subject to date and availability.
How long is the Cancún–Monterrey flight?
2 hours 10 minutes nonstop, with no Mexico City connection.
    What's the best return time?
If your schedule allows, Monday morning gets a better rate and a better aircraft than the Sunday 16:00–19:00 window, which is the corridor's most congested.
Can I depart from Tulum or Cozumel?
Yes. We operate from MMTL and MMCZ. If your stay ended in that area it avoids the drive to Cancún and often costs the same.
Which Monterrey airport do you arrive at?
The executive terminal at Monterrey International (MMMY). Del Norte (MMAN) is an alternative for light aircraft, subject to runway limits.
