Mexico's biggest source of empty legs
Cancún takes a constant stream of private aircraft that arrive with passengers and return empty, mostly toward the Mexico City metro area, Monterrey and the southern United States. That imbalance produces more repositioning flights — empty legs — than anywhere else in the country.
If your dates have one or two days of flexibility, discounts against the regular rate can run 40 to 75 percent. We publish live availability and message you on WhatsApp when a leg matches your route.
Choosing between Cancún, Tulum and Cozumel
Landing at the right field saves more time than any aircraft decision. The Hotel Zone and Puerto Cancún are 20 minutes from MMUN. Playa del Carmen, about 45. But Tulum is roughly a 90-minute drive from Cancún, versus 20 minutes from MMTL.
The fare to Tulum is often identical to Cancún, so the decision is purely logistical. For Cozumel, flying straight into MMCZ skips the ferry from Playa del Carmen. We'll tell you which fits where you're staying.
High season: December through April
From December through Easter week, aircraft availability to and from Cancún sells out weeks ahead, and over Christmas, New Year and Semana Santa pricing moves with demand.
For those dates we recommend confirming three to four weeks out. Closer in, options narrow to whatever is left and price stops being negotiable.
